The labels are workshop-produced, the motif being computer-composed and seriographically-printed on front of a semi rigid ABS substrate. They are protected by a polyurethane varnish. The substrate rear is coated with primer bonding the silicone rubber required to make the label adhere to the fire-resistant sheath of the cable. An Independent claim is included for the corresponding label. Preferred Features: The varnish protecting the label motif is transparent and shiny, and is based on two-part polyurethane including hardener. A protective film is applied over the varnish before working on the rear. Printing employs polyurethane ink. The substrate rear is rendered omnidirectionally-matt all over, using a pad of abrasive foam. Two transverse layers of wet-on-wet primer are applied, to form the interface between the ABS and the silicon rubber used as an adhesive. The primer is dried and covered by a protective film, forming a screen against ambient air, before applying the labels. The label substrate is 0,8 mm thick, semi-rigid ABS. The front is white, the rear black. Sheets are separated using a guillotine following printing. The labels are sorted and packed, before being employed by adhesion onto the fireproof protection.
