PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the edge-runout of magnets while the coupling forces between the magnets and a shaft are maintained at required values in a rotary electric machine. SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine is provided with columnar anisotropic magnets 2 having magnet holders 4 on their inner peripheral sides, a shaft 3 having a whirl-stop 6, and a rotor damper 1a between the magnet holders 4 and whirl-stop 6 as a vibration damping member. The magnets 2, shaft 3, and damper 1a are integrally molded.
