PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cost effective illuminated signboard device which lessens the illumination unevenness of a signboard surface while the structure of the signboard device itself is thin, compact and light and is extremely simple and easy not only in manufacturing and mounting work but in maintenance work such as repair, cleaning, as well. SOLUTION: This illuminated signboard device has at least one set of upper and lower signboard mounting rails which are disposed approximately in a horizontal direction on a wall surface, a light source for illumination which is disposed on the wall surface between one set of these signboard mounting rails, a light transparent light source cover which is provided with one set of upper and lower suspension members for one set of the signboard mounting rails at upper and lower edges and a light transparent display surface plate having peripheral edges which can be superposed on the peripheral edges of this light source cover. The light source for illumination is disposed within a light source housing groove recessed at the light source cover forward from the back.
