PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a small size and low cost high frequency portable heating apparatus in which dielectric heating is applied to foods with microwaves. SOLUTION: The voltage E of a battery 13 is decided by the operating cycle T of the inverter circuit 2 and the on-time ratio of the 1st semiconductor switching element 5, to minimize the series connecting number of batteries 13. By this way, the portable high frequency heating apparatus using batteries 13, which can be used at outdoor, can be realized.
