PURPOSE:To perform printing uniformly and efficiently in non-contact state and under continuous movement without using an ink requiring a drying time, by a method wherein laser ray is passed through character style and symbol in a mask and then collected by a lens and reduced and irradiated onto a printing substance. CONSTITUTION:Laser ray which is controlled by a control unit 1 and taken as oscillating output from a gas laser oscillator 2 is deflected at a mirror 3 and entered in a lens 4. In addition to the laser ray collected by the lens 4, character style and symbol in a mask 6 are collected by a lens 5 and reduced into character style and symbol of a prescribed dimension being suitable to dimension of a matter 7 to be printed and then printed in the substance 7. The substance 7 after printing is fed to an enclosing member 9 and immediately the next printing substance 7 is supplied from a supply unit 8. When a detector 10 detects that the printing substance 7 reaches a prescribed position, printing is carried out by the laser ray. |
