Cash accounting system

The cash accounting system contains a cash register (I) which is electrically connected to a counting machine (II). The counting machine (II) contains a money accepting device (42) and a return device (44). The money accepting device (42) and the return device (44) are individually activated in dependence on whether the count determined by the counting machine (II) corresponds to a test value preset on the cash register (I) or not, either the cash accepting device (42) or the return device (44) being driven.
