DIAGNOSIS OF PATHOLOGIES OF MONONUCLEATED BLOOD CELLS

The invention relates to a method which uses the growth factor HARP to detect mononucleated blood cells and which provides a means of diagnosing the proliferative pathologies of this type of cell such as chronic lymphoid leukaemia. The method for detecting the B lymphocytes comprises bringing a blood sample and some HARP polypeptide, a fragment or a derivative of HARP into contact with each other and detecting the fixation of the HARP polypeptide, fragment or derivative of HARP to the surface of the B lymphocytes. The method for diagnosing proliferative pathologies of mononucleated blood cells also comprises the comparison of the rates of fixation of HARP to the B lymphocytes of a sample from a patient and the B lymphocytes of a sample from a healthy subject.
