PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve water-proof property and dust-proof property of a key structure for electronic equipment. SOLUTION: A front case 22 and a rear case are combined with each other with a ten-key pad 25 and a substrate assembly being housed inside. The pad 25 has bottomed recessed sections 70 for positioning. Pin-like projecting sections 44 of the front case 22 are inserted into the recessed sections 70 of the pad 25. Bottom sections 71 of the recessed sections 70 block the infiltration of moisture and dust into the sections 70. The pad 25 has a closed loop-like fringe rib 64, surrounding a plurality of key tops on its lower surface and the front case 22 has a closed loop-like pressure rib 45 matched to the fringe rib 64 on its rear surface. The pressure rib 45 presses down the portion right above the fringe rib 64 of the key pad 25 along the rib 64 with a strong force. The pressure rib 45 pressing down the key pad 25 blocks the intrusion of moisture and dust to the outside of the fringe rib 64.
