PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the setting of the appropriate transfer rate and transfer method for every pack and also to allow the accurate copy management prepared for every file, to which the pack belongs. SOLUTION: A disk player 100 which is a transmitter, and a recorder 200 which is a receiver, are connected through two serial interfaces 188-1, 188-2, etc., of specification IEEE1394, and for instance, a signal consisting of a predetermined data stream arranged including at least either one pack of audio data or video data, is made to be packet by adding a prescribed header to the inside of real data, etc., of the packet for transmission separately by the kind of packs, so as to store an identifier indicating the kind of packs in the header for the transmission.
