<p>An autoclave for sterilising packed fluid products, in particular baby food products, comprises a boiler (1), having two access doors (3, 4) that can be hermetically sealed, and a sterilisation vessel (2), arranged such that it is able to rotate inside the boiler, and means for rotating the sterilisation vessel. A conveyor is arranged in the sterilisation vessel. During rotation cages containing filled packs which have been introduced via the conveyor are pressed onto the conveyor by means of pneumatic or hydraulic pressure means (11). Compressed air or hydraulic medium can be fed to the pressure means (11) and removed therefrom via a connector (17). The connector (17) is fitted at the end of a swinging arm (12), which by means of a control means (27, 28) is able to swing between an operating position in line with the axis of rotation of the sterilisation vessel (2) and a position in which the connector (17) does not block the access of the cages (9) to the sterilisation vessel.</p> |
