PURPOSE:To obtain an erect image invariably through a simple device by detecting the running direction of a microfilm through one mark detector, moving the film widthwise while reversing the direction at its terminal, and inverting the direction of an image through a prism. CONSTITUTION:A microfilm 4 running at right angles to a paper surface is irradiated with light from a light source 14, and its image is passed through a projection lens 23 and a prims 27, and reflected by reflecting plates 24 and 25 to be formed on a screen 26. The film 4 has detection marks which correspond to images of >=2 lines. The film 4 runs intermittently between glass plates 16 and 17 fixed to a holding base 32, which is moved in directions (a) and (b) by a plunger 34 and a spring 33 to irradiate a desired image line of the film; and microswitches 36 and 37 detect the position of the film, i.e. the image line. When the film comes to its terminal, a mark detecting element 38 generates a signal to reverse the running direction of the film, and the holding base 32 is moved to rotate the prism 27 by a half. Consequently, a desired erect image of the film is obtained easily. |
