Vertical bar profiles (6) anchored in the loadbearing wall (1) or in its insulation cover (4) are fitted out with facade element (7) level with adapters (12). These adapters horizontally engage parallel grooves (15) in the top edge of the elements (7). The top edge is fitted with reinforcement and a rear angled part adjoined by a downwards batten which with the bottom surface of the facade element forms the groove (15) to take the bearing leg (14) of the adapters. Batten or reinforcement have an elastic strip held projectingly in a recess and the facade elements themselves (7) are fitted on their bottom end with a supporting strip angled rearwards and parallel to its longitudinal axis. Thus the leg (14) of the adapter (12) arm (13) uses the wall of the groove (15) to pre-tension the facade element (7) against the elastic strip, preferably the spring (17) and uses the elastic strip to pre-tension the supporting strip of the facade element above against the spring (17).
