REHEATING METHOD BY INDUCTION OF THIXOTROPIC MATERIALS

A reheating method involving the induction of thixotropic materials such as non ferrous metals in a pasty state, i.e. at a temperature where said material is in a semi-solid state for casting in a mould. The invention is characterized in that the eutectic point of said material is detected by measuring a variation in the impedance of the inductor load, corresponding to a semi-solid state of said material, i.e. a state in which the solid/liquid fraction ratio of said material ranges from 45-55 %.
