The invention relates to a computer tomography (CT) device, whose operational parameters (<i>I, T</i>) can be adjusted. Said device has a control unit and elements for pre-selecting a combination of operational parameters (<i>I, T</i>) for a medical examination which is to be performed. If a combination of operational parameters (<i>I, T</i>) has been preselected for a medical examination which is to be performed that may lead to an unacceptable operational state, a control unit determines a value for at least one operational parameter (<i>I, T</i>) which deviates from the pre-selected operational parameters (<i>I, T</i>). The scheduled examination can then be performed for this value whilst avoiding the unacceptable operational state, without any significant reduction in image quality, in relation to the pre-selected combination of operational parameters (<i>I, T</i>). |
