SUPPORT AND RESTRAINT STRUCTURE FOR PASSENGERS OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT VEHICLES

The inventive support and restraint structure is a tubular frame (1) which has a basically oval shape with two branches (2 and 3) whose ends meet to form two end arches (4 and 5); one or two cross members and fixing elements (13, 14 and 15) for fixing to a support, i.e. the side (8) of a seat (9), a wall, a vertical structural member of the vehicle body or similar element which will hold the frame at a distance and in a lateral position in relation to the support in order to provide effective support and balance to standing passengers, irrespective of their size and without being a significant hindrance. The invention is of particular interest to producers of equipment and accessories for public transport vehicles.
