<p>The invention relates to a biological filter (1) for the treatment of contaminated aqueous fluids, such as waste water, having a fluid impervious filter basin (2) forming a filtering zone (F), said basin being intended to be positioned on, or at least partly suspended into the ground (20) and containing a filter bed (3) consisting of soil (4) and/or other materials (6) suitable for providing an environment suitable for growing plants, and having plants (7) rooted/growing in said soil material and at least one inlet (8) for introducing said fluid into the filter and at least one outlet (9) for removing said fluid from the filter after treatment of the fluid, the filter being equipped with an upper enclosure (5) covering at least the entire upper surface of the filter bed (3).</p> |
