METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF ARYL ALKYL ETHERS

A method for production of aryl alkyl ethers comprises reacting a hydroxyaromatic compound with an alcohol in the presence of a catalyst, whereby the homogeneous mixture of hydroxyaromatic compound, alcohol and catalyst is introduced into the reactor at normal pressure, reacted at a temperature of 250 to about 370 ~C and the product concentration in the reaction mixture adjusted such that the catalyst does not precipitate out.
