The screw drive has a supporting wheel (7) for support of the worm shaft (2) on the opposite side of the worm wheel (5). The worm wheel is in meshed contact with the worm shaft and is at the same height as the support wheel in the longitudinal direction on the worm shaft. A drive motor (1) is attached to the worm shaft for driving the system.
