摘要 The present invention relates to a radar-based own motor vehicle movement sensor system (1) that can measure yaw rate relative to a road surface (15), and optionally also the velocity and/or the relative yaw angle of the vehicle (25) with respect to a direction of motion. The sensor system (1) comprises on the vehicle (25) a first pair of opposite directed radar sensors (2, 4), including a first radar sensor (2) and a second radar sensor (4) which provide respectively outputs (16, 18) representative of a rate of change of range from each respective sensor (16, 18) to the fixed surface (15), and a processing means (14) that receives the rate of change outputs (16, 18) from the sensors (2, 4) and that calculates therefrom the rate the change of yaw.
