FLUIDIZED FILLSHOE SYSTEM

A delivery and filling system for filling a cavity (32) with a particulate material is disclosed. The system in one embodiment includes a hopper (26); a transport device (12), and a delivery chute (14). The hopper (26), transport device (12), and delivery chute (14) each may have a porous distributor plate (18) which partitions them into a first chamber (20) and a second chamber (42). The system is hooked to a compressed gas source (34) connected to the porous distributor plate (18) and a fluidizer (20). A gas-control unit (16) is provided including a pressure regulator (64), pressure sensor, and flow metering solenoid valve (68) to independently regulate the flow of gas to the porous distributor plate and the fluidizer of the system independently.
