The sprinkler which is mounted on a fixing hood is concealed by a detachable housing (3) which is fitted on a part (4) of the sprinkler or on a wall through which the sprinkler projects, only by force-locking fixing elements (6) so that the housing can be readily removed by extinguishing agent. The force-locking fixing elements can be holding springs or water-soluble substances.
