<p>An electron-emitting device having a low operating voltage, a large operating current, and an excellent operation stability. A cold-cathode member is made of a mixture of first particles for emitting electrons into a space and second particles provided near the first particles and adapted to regulate the postures of the first particles. It is preferable that the first particles have an electron emission efficiency higher than that of the second particles, and the second particles are conductive. An electron source and an image display both comprising such a device, and a method for producing such a device through a less number of process steps at low cost.</p> |
