The heater (1) has a casing with a heater unit comprising a burner (29) and a heat exchanger. A fuel tank (19) is connected at one side of the burner through a pump and a supply line. The exit side of the burner is connected to an exhaust gas pipe (31) with a fan unit and suction and blow-out openings. The fuel tank is formed as a closed transport and storage container. The fuel tank is preferably arranged mostly at the lower side of the heater.
