The movement limiting stop is provided as a spring-out mechanism (4) which is incorporated in the piston rod (1) of the shock absorber and matched to its periphery. The spring-out mechanism widens out after penetrating the piston rod guide (3), for contacting the underside of the latter for limiting the piston rod stroke.
