PURPOSE:To obtain a miniature and light magnetic belt which is capable of rotating without slipping, by a method wherein a plurality of magnetic metallic pieces are arranged on the surface of a rubber belt having a tension resisting padding and a timing belt part is formed on its back. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of iron pieces 4 is arranged on the surface of a rubber belt 3 having a tension resisting padding 2, such as a steel cord at identical intervals in a longitudinal direction of the rubber belt and secured on the rubber belt 3 along with the padding 2 by welding them to stop metal fittings 6 in the shape of the letter U secured by molding. The iron pieces 4 are formed into measurements whose length is shorter than width of the belt, and plane surface parts 5 are formed on both sides of a row of the iron pieces 4 of the belt 3. The back of the belt 3 is made into a timing belt part 9 by forming lateral grooves 7 which are narrower than the width of the belt and are provided at regular intervals. A magnetic belt is constituted as stated above so that a vehicle is run along rails by rotation of the belt through a magnet device adsorbing the iron pieces 4 (both of them are outlined in a sketch). |
