Neutralization of waste aqueous acid (I) containing organic matter (II), with simultaneous recovery of crystals of the salt formed, especially ammonium sulfate production from waste sulfuric acid and ammonia using neutralization and crystallization steps. Neutralization of waste aqueous acid (I) containing organic matter (II), with simultaneous recovery of crystals of the salt formed, especially ammonium sulfate production from waste sulfuric acid and ammonia, comprises: (1) neutralizing (I), diluting with water to prevent the salt crystallizing and removing (II) that separates on neutralization; and (2) evaporation/crystallization, using the heat of neutralization from stage (1), and discharging the salt crystals. |
