The sporting goods is constituted by use of vibration damping material having a vibration loss co-efficient of at least 0.01 at normal temperature as at least part of the constituent materials of the sporting goods. The shock absorbing material is used by being fitted to sports goods. The vibration-damping material has a vibration loss coefficient of at least 0.01, a weight of at least 3g and height of at least 3mm. It is fitted to the sports goods with at least one end in a free state in order for the material to generate a minute vibration or oscillation in response to vibration or impact propagating to it from the outside.
