PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing a kind from being crossbred by changing flowering characteristics of a plant and preventing the pollen from being dispersed by the flowering. SOLUTION: This method for preventing the pollen from being dispersed comprises treating a true grass with jasmones because it is revealed that the dispersion of the pollen is prevented by the jasmones by suppressing the opening of palea by the administration of the jasmones. The agent for preventing the dispersion of the pollen of the true grass contains the jasmones.
