PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the efficiency of reducing treatment and to improve the quality of the product by measuring metallization on-line while reducing treatment for a pellet is executed in a device for producing reduced iron. SOLUTION: In a reducing atmosphere zone of a reducing furnace 19 in a device for producing reduced iron, a metallization measuring apparatus 39 selectively takes out a green ball GB in the process of reduction, sets the ball to the central part of a coil 41, detects the impedance, calculates the metallization, feeds back the obtained value to a controller 48 and executes temperature control.
