PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a ceramic composite material, which is capable of forming the ceramic composite material having a complex form and realizing a reasonable structure by imparting a matrix to a preform obtained by a weaving method and having required functions for every part, and by which it is easy to form at a low cost without using a mold. SOLUTION: A ceramic composite material 10 is formed by weaving ceramic fibers into primary preforms 20' or imparting a matrix to each of the primary preforms 20' to form blocks 20, each having a simple shape, then sewing the blocks 20 using the ceramic fibers to integrate them and to obtain a secondary preform 10' and further imparting the matrix to the secondary preform 10'.
