PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stock for a welded can excellent in tin peeling resistance and moreover excellent in various capacities such as adhesion for a coating material and a film, weldability and corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: At least one side of a cold rolled steel sheet is provided with a tinning layer, which is composed of a planar tinning layer uniformly applying the steel sheet face and tin lump parts discontinuously present on the upper part of the planar tinning layer, in which the total coating weight of the tinning is 0.10 to 0.50 g/m2, the coating weight of the tinning in the planar tinning layer is 0.03 to 0.20 g/m2, the average height H1 of the tin lump parts from the upper face of the planar tinning layer is >=0.05μ, and the average height H2 of the tin lump parts from the steel sheet face is 0.08 to 1.5μm. The upper layer of the tinning layer is provided with a metallic chromium layer with the coating weight of 30 to 150 mg/m2, and furthermore, the upper layer is provided with a hydrated chromium oxide layer with the coating weight of 3 to 40 mg/m2 expressed in terms of metallic chromium.
