PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel consumption or drivability by improving a combustion condition through optimizing spark advancing quantity to the characteristic difference or a secular change of an engine. SOLUTION: In a valve opening/closing timing control device, spark advancing quantity decided by the operating condition of the engine is corrected to determine correction spark advancing quantity in accordance with the difference between rotation frequency variation quantity determined from the rotation frequency of the engine and standard rotation frequency variation quantity decided by the operation condition of the engine, and is provided with a control means for controlling valve opening/closing timing between suction and exhaust valves, by spark-advancing the phase of a cam shaft to a crank shaft by this correction spark advancing quantity.
