PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate having beautiful metallic luster, and in which, particularly, at least a part exhibits a rainbow-colored appearance and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: A laminate in which, on the surface of a transparent base material composed of polycarbonate, etc., and in which at least a part of the surface has regularly formed rugged parts, a primer layer containing (1) alkoxy silane, (2) colloidal silica and at least either a silane coupling agent or a titanium coupling agent, (3) a metallic oxide colloid and at least either a silane coupling agent or a titanium coupling agent or (4) metallic alkoxide and, if required, containing a resin has been formed, and, via the primer layer, a sufficiently adhered and joined metallic layer such as an electroless silver plating layer has been formed is obtained. The rugged parts can be formed by arranging fine projections, pores, grooves or the like at equal intervals.
