PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment system in which its treatment capacity is not adversely affected, even if the lid is opened in the midst of disintegrating garbage by pouring kitchen wastewater into the system in such instance. SOLUTION: This garbage treatment system has a garbage pulverizing means 1 which is connected to a kitchen drain port 12 and pulverizes garbage, the treatment device 4 which treats the waste water containing the pulverized matter of the garbage pulverized by the garbage pulverizing means 1, a flow passage switching means 40 which switches the flow passage from the garbage pulverizing means 1, a lid opening/closing state detecting means 17 which detects the opening/closing state of the lid 16 for hermetically closing the kitchen drain port 12 and a control means which switches the flow passage switching means 40 to the treatment device 4 side during the operation of the garbage pulverizing means 1 and enables the puverization operation of the garbage pulverizing means 1 only when the lid closing state is detected by the lid opening/closing state detecting means 17. |
