PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity protection body which is safe for an incinerator and made of environment-friendly corrugated cardboard and does not generate such a problem that pollution-causing smoke is generated in an incinerationg process. SOLUTION: A board material made of corrugated cardboard is assembled to form a commodity protection body 1. The commodity protection body is constituted of a rectangular or square bottom plate 2 in plan view, two pairs of opposed side plates 3, 4 of the short side and the long side connected to the four sides of the bottom plate 2, and an upper plate 5 whose mutual end faces are butted against each other in the vicinity of the breadthwise center of the bottom plate 2 connected to the upper end of the long side plate 4. An upward projection piece 6 is formed at the upper end of the short side plate 3, and a hole 7 engaging with the projection piece 6 is formed in the upper plate 5. Downward projection pieces 9, 11 are provided at the lower end of two pairs of opposed side plates 3, 4 and a horizontal projection piece 13 is provided at the upper plate 5. The end of the long side plate 4 and the end of the upper plate 5 are constituted so as to overhang to the outside from the short side plate 3.
