PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal dust collector and vacuum cleaner with a large dust collecting capacity and a simple structure capable of centrifugal dust collection. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner has a bottomed dust box 16 with an intake 17 and an electric blower 11 sucking air from the intake 17 into the dust box 16 and generating a cyclone action. The intake 17 is formed on the side wall of the dust box 16 in the tangent direction.
