PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely close an umbrella. SOLUTION: A slit 1b to accept a part on a ferrule side of a spring 20 when an umbrella is opened is provided in an end part on an umbrella handle side of a lower wheel 1 so that a finger to press the spring 20 is not caught between the spring 20 and the lower wheel 1 when the umbrella is closed.
