摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking device that can improve the efficiency of marking operations. SOLUTION: The marking device 1 comprises laser light radiating means 3 turnable in horizontal and vertical directions, distance measuring means 11, 15 for measuring the distance to the reflection position of laser light by receiving the reflected light of the laser light, and controlling means 5 for controlling the radiation direction of the laser light. Depending upon the geometric relation among the device coordinates where the marking device 1 is installed, the coordinates of the point of vertical projection where a marking position is projected down onto an imaginary horizontal plane including the device coordinates, the angle of elevation by which the laser-light radiation direction is moved vertically, and the distance from the device position to the laser-light reflection position at that angle of elevation, the controlling means 5 turn the laser-light radiation direction horizontally from the deference azimuth to the direction of the marking position, prior to turning it vertically from the imaginary horizontal plane to the marking position.
