PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occlusion catheter for aorta ascendens, which can shut off a blood stream in an aorta ascendens without being inserted from a femoral artery. SOLUTION: For this occlusion catheter 1 for aorta ascendens, a drug discharging port 23 is formed at a location which is closer to the proximal end side than a balloon 5 on the outer periphery on the distal end side of a tube 3, and is arranged in the vicinity of a coronary port, when the balloon 5 is made to indwell in an aorta ascendens. By such an occlusion catheter 1 for aorta ascendens, even when the occlusion catheter 1 for aorta ascendens is directly inserted in an aorta ascendens from a location closer to heart of the aorta ascendens, and a blood stream is shut off, a cardiac muscle protective liquid can be applied to the vicinity of the coronary port. Therefore, the occlusion catheter for aorta ascendens does not have to be inserted from a femoral artery such as a conventional method. |
