摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten a link member and to manufacture the link member having the necessary mechanical characteristic values as a suspension at low cost by forming the link member constituting the suspension link of a motor car with an aluminum material. SOLUTION: The link member is formed by forging by carrying a preform product to a forging die after forming the preform by casting by pouring molten aluminum material into a mold. When the forging is executed, a forging flow line direction in which the material is plastically fluidized is formed in parallel to a main stress direction of the most concentration portion of the link member when the actual fitting into the die is executed. The preform product formed with the casting process is carried into the forging die without cooling to room temperature and the forging can be executed as it is by utilizing the casting heat.
