PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify equipment constitution while saving electric power in a door locking device for a sliding door. SOLUTION: In the door locking device for the sliding door, a slidable door 9 and an open-close machine 22 are connected through a flexible stringy member 15, the sliding door can be driven in one direction by the open-close machine, an elastic member 23 is connected to the sliding door, and the sliding door is urged in the opposite direction to the driving direction by the elastic member.
