<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a body radiating infrared rays of longer wavelengths and usable even in a steam atmosphere or a liq. by successively laminating a deposited alumina layer and a deposited zirconia layer on the surface of a metal or biscuit. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a base metal 14 or biscuit is cleaned by sand blast, and fine particles of alumina 17 having about 5-10mum particle size are thinly plasma-deposited in layers to form a deposited alumina layer 15. Fine powder of zirconia 8 radiating infrared rays of longer wavelengths is then plasma-deposited on the layer 15 to form a deposited zirconia layer 16. The resulting plasma-deposited ceramic body radiating infrared rays of longer wavelengths is widely applicable to a drier in which much steam is generated, a heat exchanger handling a fluid, a food processing machine, etc.</p> |
