PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flame-retardant polyester resin composition excellent in mechanical properties and melt thermal stability. SOLUTION: This composition is prepared by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic aromatic polyester with (B) 5-60 pts.wt. specific brominated epoxy- based flame retardant, (C) 5-60 pts.wt. specific brominated polycarbonate-based flame retardant, (D) 1-20 pts.wt. antimony-based flame retardant, and (E) a phosphate-based stabilizer in such an amount as to satisfy a specific condition. The composition has such a melt flow rate as to satisfy a specific condition.
