PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change image quality quickly. SOLUTION: Filter functions are transferred to calculators 3 by the movement of track ball 11. Two buffer memories that store two filter functions are arranged in front and back side of the calculator to start calculation with RAW data at once. Then, the CT image obtained by reverse projection processing with reconstruction computer unit 4 is displayed on the monitor. The above operations are performed every time the track ball is moved. By moving the track ball, the filter functions are changed and the resulting CT image is displayed nearly real time.
