PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drop preventing device for hanging type conveyance container in picking equipment for preventing a hanging type conveyance container on a rail from dropping or rotating. SOLUTION: A rotation stopper 10 protruding sideway and coming into contact when a hook 103 hung from a rail R tries to rotate to prevent the hook 103 from rotating is mounted on the side wall of the rail R. To prevent the hook 103 from rising, a rising stopper 20 is mounted which is disposed above the rail R with a space large enough for the hook 103 to travel and comes into contact when the hook 103 hung from the rail R tries to lift up, so as to prevent the hook 103 from rising. Even if the fore/aft or right/left vibration occurs at a curved area of the rail R when a conveyance container 100 moves by free sliding with the hook 103 of a hanger 102 hung from the rail R, a double safety measure of the rotation inhibition of the hook 103 by the rotation stopper 10 and the rising inhibition of the hook 103 by the rising stopper 20 is effective, thus preventing the conveyer container 100 from dropping more completely.
