PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a synthetic resins for a container cover having large die swelling due to memory effect to excel in moldability, high rigidity, and high impact resistance. SOLUTION: This propylene based resin composition for a container cover comprises 100 pts.wt. propylene based resin, 3.0-15 pts.wt. ethylene based polymer polymerized by using a metallocene compound which has (A) an MFR of 0.1-50 g/10 min and (B) a maximum peak temperature in the elution curve obtained by temperature raising elution fractionation of 15-85 deg.C and an H to W value when the peak height is regarded as H and the peak width at a height of 1/3 of the peak height is regarded as W, of not smaller than 2, 0.01-1.0 pt.wt. nucleating agent, and 0.1-7.0 pts.wt. titanium oxide based pigment.
