PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-acting hydraulic press machine capable of controlling a speed, a position and parallelism of each slide, easily changing a die, preventing a breakthrough phenomenon and having high reliability and high general usefulness. SOLUTION: This press is provided with an outer slide 4, an inner slide 6, drive cylinders 8, 9 to drive each slide, position detectors 14, 15 to detect a position of each slide, a push pin 13, a damper cylinder 10 to prevent a breakthrough phenomenon and a die plate 5 arranged with the push pin 13.
