PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle roof with movable lids capable opening the roof, adjustable by a simply formed drive mechanism. SOLUTION: In this vehicle roof in which, at least, a roof opening 2 is formed in a fixed roof panel 1, at least two lids 3, 4 are arranged in a roof opening in such a state as being flush with each other in a closed position closing the roof opening 2, slidable so as to be overlapped with each other in the vehicle longitudinal direction in a first opening position partially opening the roof opening 2, and at least, a part of the lid 4 in the traveling direction rear side is positioned lower than the front side lid 3 in the first opening position; only one of the adjoining two lids 3, 4 being operable by a common mechanism can be slidable each time with the other lid 4 or 3 fixed thereto.
