PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a composition for making interstitial cells derived from adipose tissue differentiate into a hematopoiesis support interstitial cells and muscle cells of both a skeletal muscle type and a smooth muscle type. SOLUTION: The differentiation method is to culture the interstitial cells derived from adipose tissue in the composition comprising the following ingredient(s) and a medium capable of maintaining the propagation of the interstitial cells: a hematopoietic growth factor, or a growth factor, a medicine or a factor itself of non-peptide all capable of inducing the interstitial cell expression of an exogenous hematopoietic growth factor when the interstitial cells are made to differentiate into the hematopoiesis support interstitial cells; 5'-azacytadine or amphotericin in a sufficient quantity for making interstitial cells differentiate into muscle cells of a skeletal muscle when the interstitial cells are made to differentiate into muscle cells of the skeletal muscle; and a transforming growth factorβor other peptide growth factor in a sufficient quantity for making interstitial cells differentiate into smooth muscle cells or myofibroblasts when the interstitial cells are made to differentiate into muscle cells of smooth muscle.
