PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for drawing beams which extremely easily draw the beams. SOLUTION: Cathode plates 101 with the beams gathered by pressing means 30 are aligned to a perpendicular state by the effect of a receiving base 4 and are slightly lifted upward in this state, by which the beams 103 inserted to the cathode plates 101 are moved upper than rails 2 supporting the beams 103 and are held afloat. A plurality of the beams 103 are thereafter held and are drawn out of the cathode plates 101.
